December 20
Math- Lesson 64
Reading- group books
Language Arts- adjective review

Tomorrow is the Christmas program at the school.  Everyone is invited to attend.  It will begin at 9:00 in the gymnasium.  Our 5th graders will be performing last.  They've worked diligently and they sounded great when practicing today!  We hope you can make it!

The next book report will be due January 11.  Please make sure your student has started reading a biography by that time.  Also, books should be at least 100 pages.  Many students are reading books that are not as challenging as I would like.  An easy way to tell if your child's book is too easy or hard is to listen to them read it and look at it as they read.  Count up the mistakes they make on your hand.  They should be reading at about 95% accuracy .  That means if they read 100 words, you should not hear more than 5 mistakes.  If you do, try an easier book.

Thanks for all you do at home!
